I know people put a lot of energy into trying to create viral moments. And for some it does work – Gangnam Style. But maybe the approach that works better is to put a lot of good stuff out there, see what sticks. Then capitalize on that.
For a mind break I like to watch clips on you-tube from some of the late night people… James Corden is a favorite, Stephen Colbert, Graham Norton..
Anyway… Graham had Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton on recently promoting the new Terminator movie. They also pulled out an old clip when Arnold and Emelia Clarke were promoting the last one
Conversation got around to what what the new catchphrase will be.
Arnie responded: “you never know when you do a movie which of the lines are going to be repeated out there later on. I mean the audience picks that. The fans pick that. So when I said I’LL BE BACK I had no idea that this line ever will be repeated by anybody.”
Basically what he went on to say is you make the film, full of good lines, and then leave it for the fans to make one of them viral.

I don’t think a good catchphrase came out of Terminator Genisys. Hmmm. Let’s see what happens to Terminator Dark Fate. Lol.
