Someone I follow had a conversation with ChatGPT about whether it was male or female. To which it answered that it was male. If you ask it to write like a female, it will make subtle changes to the answers.
Today, I asked it to tell me what digital maturity was. First in a female voice. Then in a male voice.
The first two paragraphs were the same. Paraphrasing, it described a company as digitally mature if it had a digital strategy. And that it invested in digital technologies… listing all the typical ones.
Where it then changed up the tone, was when it talked about digitally enabling employees and the company culture.

female voice: a digitally mature company will have invested in training programs to upskill their employees, ensuring that they possess the necessary digital skills to operate in a digital environment.
male voice: a digitally mature company will have trained their employees to ensure they possess the necessary digital skills to operate in a digital environment.
about culture…
female voice: a digitally mature company will have a culture that fosters a passion for digital transformation, where everyone from the top down is committed to achieving the company’s digital objectives.
male voice: A digitally mature company also fosters a culture that embraces digital transformation. This culture encourages innovation, fosters creativity, and challenges employees to think outside the box, embracing new technologies and ideas.
hmmm…
Personally, I like a bit of all of it. I like that the female voice considers upskilling employees as an investment. And talks about the culture being passionate and needing commitment across the organization. I also like the individual characteristics that the male voice encourages in the culture – innovation, creativity and embracing new ideas.
Just something to think about.
